The Importance of Giving Belief, Support, and Encouragement!!!!
Three is a solid number, is it not?
Being honest with ourselves once again is no easy matter, but let’s go there: This time, I refer to giving three gifts instead of one. Would we not agree that three gifts can comprise the perfect package, with three is the perfect number? More so, people have stated repeatedly that three is the perfect number to signify the completion of something. Perhaps you’ve heard the well - noted expression, “The third time’s the charm”? There’s some truth to all this, friend…..
A threefold cord is not easy to break.
Furthermore, you might find that “a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” And that’s for a good reason. There’s insane, positive power in numbers!!! Let’s apply this concept to gifts since it can just about apply itself to any area in life….
Gift - wise, it’s pretty simple math, right? Even a monkey could do it in his sleep ---- well, if he were a genius monkey, understood human concepts, and was interested in a numbers game…..three gifts can triple the happiness!!!!
If one gift is not good, or just ok, you have two more to fall back on as well. See the point? Both the giver and the receiver, thus can rest assured and have something good to fall back on…..
Giving belief
“I believe in you, for x, y and z reasons”.....this can sometimes be all you need to shoot a person’s confidence, and healthy self - esteem, to the moon! Why not say those four words, meaning it as you do so? Your belief in the other person, after all, also means you are willing to trust that other person with your time, gifts, other loved ones, and even your life! It’s a serious commitment. Ask yourself: Who do you believe in, and trust with your very life, considering no favor too great???
Giving support
Your support through a very hard time, on its own, can be a greater gift than a stereo system and $1,000 combined with a new house and car. I think you get the point: Give yourself to that person. It’ll have an impact. Trust me.
Show that you care for that friend whose parent is in the ER with cancer, not knowing how long they have to live. Be there and offer your assistance in any way possible. Sometimes, it’s the little things, like support and encouragement, that can mean the world to someone else….and speaking of encouragement…..
Giving encouragement
Encourage the other person to not give up on their job, even when they are way past their deadlines and anticipate getting fired within the next week. Show them that they do, in fact, have the skills to turn their situation around for the better. Motivate them to be faithful and simply give the situation to God as they await His work in their lives. It’s a sad fact but still very true: Many people quit in life because they simply lacked the encouragement they needed from themselves, their peers, their friends, employers or loved ones….
Final thoughts on all this “mumbo jumbo” : Don’t stress; pray instead; give from the heart; and be so much more in this earthly life…..
So consider our proven advice the next time you find yourself in a “gift pickle”. And remember to look up: The Good Lord has an answer for everything. So worry about nothing, and pray about everything; you will find that perfect solution to meet your every need. Believe it, and you’ll receive it (actually, the other party may actually be the one doing the the receiving, but you get the drift). All good things do come in time, and from the Father above, the true Giver of all gifts everywhere, the source from which every great gift first originates.
