Secrets to Mental "Chill" After a Long Work Week....

1. Know what it is that stresses you out at work.

Imperfect people everywhere, people like myself, and even my closest friends who are reading this: Let’s all be 100% honest with ourselves here; no one is a Superman or a Wonder Woman ---- we all get stressed out, from time to time, by someone or something in the workplace!!!! And sometimes, half the battle lies in just finding what ----- or who ---- that is. And there is never a perfect solution, sometimes just the one you can get to work for you!!! In other words, identifying the problem and then addressing it would be the first step forward ---- afterwards, finding a way to DECOMPRESS is sure to follow.

So what is it that stresses you out the most and sucks the juice of your corporate productivity the longest? For me, for instance, I know EXACTLY what that is: It’s when my unpleasable superiors, two very nasty individuals in particular, come to me with a request that is either too difficult or impossible to fulfill within their specified timeframe. And the thought of not complying alone is enough to make me choke on my own tears, especially on busier days….

2. Know what it is that relaxes you.

Yoga, stress balls, prayer, exercise, relational romance, or perhaps a strong mix of each in its proper place ----- there’s got to be an antidote, and as I made reference to just a few seconds ago, this is part of the other half of the battle….along with the two steps that will follow below. And when it comes to finding a cure, keep in mind that none is a perfect, permanent remedy as the fact of the matter is this: We human beings, sadly, live in an imperfect world that never seems to offer permanent solutions.

3. Find the balance.

Perhaps you’ve spent way too much time on the computer this last week at your job, so when you get to your long-expected weekend and any days off, get off the Web. Instead, read a book; hike; bike; go for a swim; jog; walk your dog; or simply do ANYTHING to rebalance your mind and body, thereby rebalancing your emotions as well. People often forget the importance of balance in this very high-competition society we now find ourselves in, and it’s just plain sad. We, as an ever-connected digital society, have simply forgotten how to rest, and that’s a fact!

4. Make it work.

Ok, so now you’ve put two and two together. Now you’ve brainstormed to find the person, thing or situation that has brought on the most stress to your job, and now you’ve likewise begun to locate your ideal counterattack solution to face this problem head on. Most importantly, you’ve considered the importance of maintaining a healthy balance while moving forward in doing so. Now, it’s up to you to make it all work ---- we here at Triple A Crochet believe in you!!!!!!!

You can do it!!!! You are amazing! You are incredible. You are YOU, and there are no two alike anywhere in all the universe. So take some comfort in this thought, and be blessed as you go forth in victory…….
