A Time for Everything
Summertime is here, as we well know, and it is certainly one of the most beautiful, refreshing seasons of the year, is it not? The freshly sliced watermelon picnics by the lake or beach, the hot summer movies late at night, the beautiful drives to other cities, states or even countries of the world, the ongoing sunshine and mirth behind it all ---- what’s not to like, right? This is the time we’ve waited all winter for ----- there’s a time for everything under the sun, and the time for summer is now upon us!!!!! Got to make the most of it….
Making the Most of It….
It all begins with an inner gratitude, a strong fruit of the Spirit worth mentioning…..gratitude brings happiness with each season. This is how we start by making the most of summer, for instance --- by thanking God for what we do have and what we are allowed to do this year around. Yes, perhaps your family budget this year does not permit for that extra cruise or camping trip you had so planned on, but be thankful for what this particular summer will bring you.
Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way!
And ask God for some amazing adventures and quests with each season that arises, and you can be sure that He will give you everything you need….and even a few things you want along the way. If you’re His child, He’ll “spoil” you like that every now and again. And there may even be some things that it’s His will for you to face or encounter this summer, be they good or bad. If so, He’ll provide for you each step of the way.
All Things are Better in Unity.
Now, this next point is all about how we, as human beings, need the company of each other to survive and flourish in this world. Where two or more are united, there’s more power, and it’s a whole lot harder for two, three or more people to be “thrown off” in their quest than it is for one solo individual: There’s power in numbers!!!! Blessings can come in unity as well; this summer, go to the movies, the library, your favorite restaurants and more with other people you care about, and you’ll see the difference. Never, EVER “go it alone….”
Worry, Worry, Worry ---- That Ever-Ongoing Assailant That Tries to Take Our Joy….
With all the careful planning and wishful thinking that so often goes into each season, we must remember to always remove one sole factor each time ----- worry. Worry kills, and it manages to spare no victims. It only recruits more every year…..
Worry is a nasty plague that sometimes says, “I have to be perfect” or “This event cannot have any mistakes”, etc. But we know where that comes from ---- Satan, the father of lies!
So just remember to take a quick step back each time you catch yourself planning out the season’s events with worry. And no. You are not Superman or Elastigirl ----- some seasons, you simply won’t be able to “do it all” or please everyone. And that’s ok.
Final Thoughts “On All This Mumbo Jumbo”: Don’t Stress; Pray Instead; Give from the Heart; Love Unconditionally; Forgive, and Be So Much More in This Life…
So consider our proven advice the next time you find yourself in a state of seasonal planning. And remember to look up: The Good Lord has an answer for everything. So worry about nothing, and pray about everything; you will find that perfect solution to meet your present need head on! Believe it, and you’ll receive it. All good things do come in time, and from the Father above, the true Giver of all good things everywhere, the source from which every great blessing first finds its origins….
