Lauren Gentges

Hi there! It's wonderful to meet you!
Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Lauren Gentges [Jentjess]. I'm a 28 year old, stay at home mom of three, married to my high school sweetheart. We have a daughter, two sons and one derpy, loveable dog named Winnie.

I have been crocheting on and off for 20yrs and my love for it has only grown. I have fond memories of sitting on the couch next to my grandma, learning how to do basic stitches. She was the one who gave me my first set of hooks and a book all about needle art. Little did I know how passionate I would become about using this amazing skill she had taught me.

I crocheted on and off during my teenage years and made baby blankets for my little ones while pregnant but it wasn't until our third child was born that I became truly dedicated in my crocheting. I realized that since my life feels like a 3-ring circus and I'm not quite sure who the ringleader is, having something to call my own was detrimental to my mental health.

During that third pregnancy, I found an adorable pattern for a fox. As I was already obsessed with making things for my son, I knew I just had to make that fox to greet my son when he arrived.

Once Axel the Fox was posted on my personal Facebook, it wasn't long before it caught the attention of friends and family and I started receiving requests for for all types of items. That inspired me to create a Facebook page until interest grew large enough that it was time to create this official site. I'm hoping with the amazing opportunities available online that this company's mission will spread all over and leave a lasting legacy that inspires people for generations to come.

I love every part of owning this company. Not only do I get to work with my hands and create fun things but I get to meet some amazing people. I feel so blessed that they allow me to be a part of their lives. Something I have created with such care and joy, goes to their homes and gets treasured by their loved ones. I cannot express how humbled and honored that makes me feel. I am in awe every day of these women and thank the Lord that he was so gracious to give me a love and gift for this art that opens a door for me to meet them. I hope that the love and joy that overflows from my heart blesses all those that I meet because knowing them is the ultimate gift to me.
